Squeaking is another common issue we hear here at the clinic. It sure makes it hard to sneak up on people if your orthotics squeak in your shoe! Usually after a client has had orthotics for a couple of months the squeaking starts. It happens because of the friction between orthotics and the shoe.
The fix is actually quite easy. All you do is pull the orthotic out of the shoe turn it over so that the bottom is exposed, add some baby powder to the bottom to cover the surface. And voila you won’t hear that squeaky friction noise. Dust off any excess and then carefully place the orthotic back into the shoe again. That should take care of the squeaking. If it comes back within a few weeks we will help you do any further modifications to take care of the squeaking for you. Call Burlington Orthotic Centre today at 905-331-4391 for details.
