It can be very overwhelming when trying to find a good runner. Here’s a few tips to get you started. First, you want to go to a trained professional who’s going to look at your foot, watch you walk and tell you what type of foot type you have and then recommended right shoe for you.
If you are a pronator or flat-footed you’re going to want a shoe with extra arch support and high density foam built into the middle of the arch that doesn’t allow the arch to collapse. If you are a supinator or someone that has a high arch you want a shoe that has cushioning throughout the shoe.
We also want to look at the heel counter and make sure it’s firm and supportive. A good shoe will naturally bend at the forefoot at the toes and you should not be able to turn the shoe into a pretzel! Come on in to get the right shoe fitted for your foot type.
